This website is presently under construction. As time progresses, this site will be continually revised, not only to make it more sophisticated since the author is continuously improving his Hypertext Markup Language (Html), but also to continuously add-on biographical and genealogical information as it becomes available. One of the main purposes of this website is to gather information on the Desjardins family, more specifically those descending from Pierre Roy dit Desjardins and Luce Robitaille. To date, the author has concentrated mainly on gathering information through telephone calls as well as visits to some individuals. However, it was discovered the hard way that too often people he has requested information from often ask for information to be supplied to them as well, which the author has done, only to discover later that those individuals never in return supplied anything. The author has also discovered, through family reunions, etc. that when there is some kind of public gathering, everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon and contribute something (so they can feel part of the project). Having a web site may be one way for all those interested to 'jump on the bandwagon.

This web version also gives limited information on the Pelland, especially those in the living generations, mainly for privacy reasons. For this reason biographical, vital statistics and family tree data will be limited for the living generations, depending to what extent those living are willing to have this information available on the Internet. However, anyone wanting to contribute information on any generation is welcome to do so. Most of this informaion will not be accessible on the internet to the public at large, but will be progressively revised and eventually incorporated on a CD Rom from where it will be made available to relatives, friends as well as to trustworthy organizations who may be interested for heritage purposes..
