Adelard Desjardins - Rose de Lima Dupras

Adelard Desjardins - Rose de Lima Dupras

Adelard was born on February 10, 1869.

Adelard was married to Rose de Lima Dupras. He lived in Prince Rupert or Prince George, B.C. They say he drowned with his son Joseph in Prince Rupert in the early 1920s, prior to 1923, but Florence Renaud & Cecile Kofoed have indicated that he may have not drowned, but skipped out (from marriage).

Adelard apparently drowned in the Prince Rupert area? with his son? However, a check by myself in the Prince Rupert Muncipal records in 198? did not yield any results. He may have drowned in Prince George.

According to Cecile Kofoed, Adelard drowned in Prince Rupert before the first world war. Before she was born?

However, the younger Adelard, son of Arthur Desjardins, insists he remembers perfectly well about his uncle Adelard. He says it definitely was not in the Prince Rupert area but in the Peace River area around northern Alberta or the near the Alberta B.C. border. Death vital statistics for British Columbia do not list any Adelard Desjardins dying in B.C. so it seems likely it must have been Northern Alberta.

Adelard's son Auguste was sort of adopted by the Coulomb family from Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba (or rather, it seems he was really their foster child). August joined the Canadian army and it seems he may have gone overseas, though this is unsure. From that time on, it seems that all those who knew him lost track of his whereabouts.
