LANDA is a Canadian Bred, Registered, Approved Holsteiner (due to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 which caused delays in process, Landa was granted an interim approval) and Canadian Warmblood Stallion.
He
was awarded 1998 Premium Foal status by The American
Holsteiner Horse Association (AHHA) and scored a total of 16 points (8 for Gait
and 8 for Conformation).
He was also presented the Riverson
Memorial Trophy Award on February 13, 1999 in West Palm Beach Florida. The
award was presented by The American Holsteiner Horse Association (AHHA) to Landa
for being the only colt that year to score 16 points at the inspections.
Landa is a modern sport
horse type, and has three elastic gaits. He is a young horse with an old soul,
which is evident in his disposition. Landa carries the bloodlines, talent and
natural athletic ability for the Hunter/Jumper and Dressage disciplines.
Landa's sire Lavita is a
successful Grand Prix Jumper, and is continuing to develop his career as an
International Grand Prix horse.
Landa's dam Arlanda (now
deceased) was an imported Dutch Warmblood by the legendary stallion Farn,
who had a promising career ahead of her in the Open Hunter ring until an injury
changed her path to becoming a very successful broodmare.
Landa's siblings have had successful careers in the Hunter/Jumper disciplines, and continue to do well. A half sister to Landa is Keepsake. She is a successful Young Riders Horse and competes at the Grand Prix level.
Born on August 1, 1998 Landa currently stands 16.1 H.
