Farn was a Groninger stallion, imported at 3 years old from Holstein by the NWP. He is father of the Gelderlander keur-stallion Garant. Since founding KWPN (and closing Sgldt and NWP studbooks) the first ten years only one son was approved (Nimmerdor) and Farn was sold for very, very little money because he was of the old fashioned type. Then it became evident that the children of Farn were extremely good show jumpers and many sons were approved again.
