| My work is based upon the idea of a book. A deconstruction analysis of the book concept – from the binding to the pages and its content – creates an opportunity to re-examine the spaces that we control. The language that defines the book can be applied to simple boundaries of any construction, such as a simple room and it's contents, or the contents of a bag. In its root nature, it is a progressive narrative that separates itself from the singularity of a solitary artwork or a mere page. Alden currently resides in Calgary, Alberta.
