The CryptoQUIP is a substitution cipher in which one letter stands for another. If you think that 'X' equals 'O', it will equal 'O' throughout the puzzle. Single letter, short words and words using an apostrophe give you clues to locating vowels. Solution is by 'trial and error'.

• Instructions

  Type the given 'cryptoQUIP' in the top window. There is no automatic 'word wrap' so 'break' the line at convenient place(s) (space(s)) with the 'Enter' key.

  • If a letter appears in the 'cryptoQUIP' a text field will be provided for you to input a replacement letter.
  • A letter cannot be replaced with itself.
  • Any key other than an alpha key ('A' to 'Z') will cause a letter to be deleted and replaced with a 'blank'.
