Welcome to the Lummi Island Vacation Rental Page. On this page you will find
all the information you need to experience the luxury of affordable seaside San
Juan Islands home rental. Situated in the Pacific Northwest, one hour south of
Vancouver, B.C., Canada and less than two
hours north of Seattle, Washington and under ten minutes by ferry, you will
find your seaside rental home on little known Lummi Island. Furthest north, yet
considerably more accessible than any other San Juan Island, this island gem
has remained one of the best kept secrets of the magnificent archipelago. Lummi
Island has two restaurants, The Beach Store Cafe which is on the east side of
the
Island near the ferry terminal and The Willows Inn Restaurant which offers
finer dining with a
westward view and is within walking distance of our property. There is also a
steakhouse at the Silver Reef Casino located at Slater Road and Haxton Way for
those who like to gamble and eat.

To reach Lummi Island, the following information:
From Vancouver
: Exit at 260 on Interstate 5 (I-5) South from Blaine, Washington. Travel west
on Slater Road to Haxton Way (3.74 miles) where you turn left (south) at the
Lummi Casino and proceed to the ferry terminal at Gooseberry Point (6.54 miles).
From Seattle
: Exit at 260 on Interstate 5 North from Bellingham, Washington. Travel west on
Slater Road to Haxton Way (3.74 miles) where you turn left (south) and proceed
to the ferry terminal at Gooseberry Point (6.54 miles).
The Whatcom Chief ferry, operated by Whatcom County, holds 20 cars and 100
passengers and makes its scenic run at least once per hour from 6am to
midnight. If any number of cars are left waiting on a scheduled run, the ferry
will make an additional run to pick them up (unless the return happens to fall
upon a scheduled shift break). Round trip fares are $10 for vehicles with driver, and $4 for each passenger.
