thoughts and opinions on various subjects that I come across every
day. From time to time I take the time out to put these random
thoughts on paper (or a reasonable facsimile), they are obviously
contained below.

Cool
3DS Max (and Max Related) Books
3DS Max
R3 Professional Animation by Angie Jones and Sean Bonney
- This is one of the few Max books that I have found on the
market which actually goes into some intermediate and advanced
topics concerning characters, particles, cameras, and lighting.
Modeling
a Character in 3DS Max by Paul Steed
- A simply outstanding monster of a book which outlines how
Paul Steed creates and textures a character that he designs
for a game.
Digital
Lighting and Rendering by Jeremy Birn - In my opinion this
is the book to get if you wish to advanced your knowledge of
how to setup better lighting and rendering for your 3D scenes.
3DS Max
FX & Design by Jon A Bell (All versions) - All three
books that Jon Bell has written about doing FX work and tricks
with 3DS Max are simply oustanding. If you can, I recommend
that you find all three of these books and add them to your
collection.
Photoshop
5 3D Textures FX & Design by Geoffry Smith - One of
the better books out there when it comes to advancing your Photoshop
skills to help create believable textures and images for your
projects.
Other
Cool Stuff
zMatrix
- a cool little program that runs under Win2k/XP and gives you
a matrix style scrolling effect on your windows desktop. Written
by my friend Zousar Shaker.
