Leslie & Nick Gilder, July 2007
This picture was taken at Nick's house.

With gold and platinum record sales, number one hits, numerous awards and continuing tributes by other artists, I feel that Nick Gilder has secured his place in rock history as an undeniable talent to be reckoned with.   With this belief, I took it upon myself to create this website.  I hope you will find it interesting and informative.  If you have any comments, suggestions and/or additional information, please send me an e-mail.

A special thank you to Phillip LaPointe, Michael Beaulieu and Herbert Clearwater for helping to make this possible.
Thank you to Richard Green, Barbara Norman and Marlene Wehrle from the National Library of Canada for the research.
Also to Geir Aamo, Chuck Oney and Linus of Hollywood for the additional information.
And a very special thank you to Nick.

This web site is dedicated in loving memory to my mother, Christina.

To Those I Loved and Those Who Loved Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years

I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me happiness
I thank you for all the love you each have shown
But now it's time I travelled on alone

So grieve for a while for me if grieve you must
Then let your grieve be comforted by trust
It's only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart

I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All of my love around soft and clear
And then when you must come this way alone
I'll greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home"

Life’s Journey

Our journey through life reminds me of school
Moving one grade to the next
Seeing and learning and trying new things
Competing to outshine the rest

Some days are filled.  Some days seem empty.
Some days we learn nothing at all.
It’s a constant struggle between right and wrong
But we choose if we stand or we fall.

Enlightenment comes after chapters of life
Soon our time to leave here grows near.
So we pass our knowledge to the ones we love.
And move on without guilt or fear.

So please don’t mourn for loved ones passed
The angels are guiding their way
Instead be proud and then celebrate
Their heavenly graduation day.
