Her Tahoe started to die two miles away from the bar. "Shit!" She pulled to the side of the road. I felt tears on my cheeks, and she was looking at me. I turned my head, stared at the sidewalk.

"Sara, this is nothing, really." She was embarrassed. She wouldn't try to run on fumes so something had to be wrong. I faced her. How could I be stupid to think his eyes could ever replace the beautiful blue of hers?

She leaned over, pressing her lips against mine. Her tongue slid across my lower lip.

This was definitely something.
