Articulated Twin
Coach 9763 somewhere on Diversey St. in Chicago. Photographer
unknown, courtesy of the Trolleybus-e-Ring and John Gilmour: "Somewhat
belatedly I enclose a photo of a Twin Coach 58DWTT. It was originally
built as a diesel in 1946 but was converted to a trolleybus in
1949. On long term loan to Chicago it was purchased in 1954 and
ran to 1963 after running some 200,000 miles (320,000 kms). Date unknown. "Not
a big mileage but not bad for an orphan vehicle. It is now in the Illinois Railway
Musem. Sorry the photo is not the best. Full details of the vehicle can be found
in the book "One of a kind"
which describes three American TB rarities." Date unknown.
Even trolleybuses can't always stop. St.Louis 9410 on the 78 Montrose line rear-ends a 1956 Chev. Above four photos submitted by Ken Josephson. Photographer: Robert J. Brown. Circa 1961.

1958 Pontiac's unsuccessful challenge of a traction pole's territory.
A Belmont Marmon passes in the background. The negative was double
exposed. A second image of a damaged 1955 Chevrolet is visible
in the remains of the Pontiac's grille. Photo taken by Robert

A St. Louis on the 78 Montrose line and a Chev exchange fenders. The chev gave up more fender than the trolley. Submitted by Ken Josephson.
Two fifty-seven Chevs and 58 Ford exchanging fenders. M-H 9621 on route 77 patiently waits for the mess to be towed away while a 60 Ford ragtop inches around it as does a 59/60 GM 4-door hardtop. Photographer unknown. Submitted by Ken Josephson. Date unknown.
Two Marmon-Herringtons held up in what seems like an innocent accident. The vehcile on the left would appear to be uninvolved though there is an officer, almost out of the picture, standing in front of it. The car on left is what I now would call a classic, though at the time I thought it was ugly. It is either a Nash, a Hudson, or a Rambler. My how time makes one's memory fuzzy. unknown.
Pullman-Standard 9346 pulls up at a bus stop and could be waiting at a red light. A Cadillac, a Chev, and an old fashioned Chicago-style add to the photo. Photographer unknown, Submitted by Ken Josephson. Date unknown.
