Welsh Women ~ Fortune Telling

this was postmarked 1911 and mailed from Llandudno
I especially like the message on the back of the card - "Coming home today ~ Shall arrive home about tea time"

This is an interesting group of women, 3 with hats and 3 with crisp white cloth caps ~ makes me wonder if they didn't have enough costume pieces to go around. A couple of the ladies even look like they're sharing a seat.

Their teapot doesn't look big enough for everyone to have a cuppa

This postcard is titled "A Welsh Tea Party" but it looks like a very glum group to me

This postcard is entitled "Welsh Women's Friendly Cup" and the title does seem to match the picture.

There is a calm cheerfulness to these two ladies, they do indeed seem to be on friendly terms
