HOME TO THE TEA SNUG

I found this pattern advertised in an old magazine - the December 1911 issue of Ladies Home Journal

This pattern is a series of very simple "cookie cutter" animal shapes to applique onto pillows, curtains and quilts for a child's bedroom.

These could, of course, be appliqued in red flannel onto tan scrum fabric as the pattern advertisement suggests or they could be appliqued in any quilting fabric onto blocks for a zoo quilt.
One other idea is to paint them onto quilt blocks with fabric paint and then embellish them with hand or machine embroidery - zigzag outlines and details, chain stitch outlines etc.

Every month I will be posting one of the animal pictures for you HERE

please be aware that these are not the actual pattern pieces but high resolution scans of the vintage advertisement

I suggest printing them in black and white and then tracing them onto your fabric.
To get different sizes of the scans -
print one as a full sheet print for the largest size
print two on the same print sheet page for medium size
print 4 on the same print sheet page for the small size
