Pedigree

Khassie was my first ever dog. Bred by Barbara Whymark of Khaskova Kennels, Khassie quickly achieved her Canadian Championship and Companion Dog title. Actually both on the same weekend at the 2001 Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Canada (Alberta Section) fall Booster. She went BOS in the conformation ring, then ran over to the Obedience ring to finish first in her class for her third CD leg. I was so proud. Khassie was so happy to eat all the reward bait she could get!

Motivated by this, I took over the handling of Khassie and showed her for the next year to additional BOS/BOB placements. We also continued in obedience completing a CDX and a single UD leg (all placing within the top 4 of every class). Having reached this lofty level, and having done it once to prove she could, Khassie retired herself from the obedience ring.

Khassie has some additional exploits to her name. In 2002 she traveled to the American Nationals in Portland Oregon. There she picked up her Pembroke Herding Instinct title, her Canine Good Citizen Title (to add to her Canine Good Neighbour Title) and her Therapy Dog International certification. To top it off, she went first in class for a Novice A leg.

Khassie is now retired and lives the life of luxury with my ex in Wetaskawin, AB. We visit every so often, and she continues to be every bit, my "Khassie girl."
