Welcome to the Light Without Heat Meditation page. Here I will be explaining some information and techniques for you to be able to understand and start using meditation in your daily lives.
The quieting of the mind is very important in meditation, but the greater aim is to control and isolate your thoughts so you can extend beyond the still mind into greater conciousness. Meditation can open the doors to the heavens and to the superior dimensions that welcomes those of higher conciousness. There is a superior dimension that welcomes the conciousness of a person who has shut down all mental activity at the precise moment of falling asleep.
As we practice quieting our minds for that moment it becomes very easy to relax and remain concious at that hightened level of awareness. After practice we will begin to experience short gaps between thought which is the best time for peacefull time of relaxing and even better to enter the higher dimensions, for there are no thoughts for us to make into dreams, rather an absence of thought so our consiousness can wander unhindered by our daily mental exhaustion.
If one is so inclined to do so then they can even learn to have out-of-body experiences at will. Most people that have them only do so after traumatic experiences, or Near-Death experiences. Regardless, this is a very real thing that can be experienced by anyone that will put in a little effort to learn the techniques. In any event, meditation can aid you in your daily lives with minimal effort, as the world today seems to need in order to attempt anything. So I will describe some easy and basic tequniques to try for yourself.
At anytime you feel comfortable, sit down in a comfortable position (the lotus is good if you can get used to it), and close your eyes. I would suggest getting a blindfold so you do not have to concentrate on keeping eyes closed. Now any meditation tecniques can be done with open eyes but for beginners it's one less thing to distract you.
Now with blindfold on, place you hands palm up in your laps or on legs, or whatever seems comfortable. Regulate your breathing and only think about your breathing. Breath in for a count of 3-5 sec. then hold for 3-5 sec. breath out for 3-5 sec. then hold again for 3-5 sec. Do this for about 5-15 minutes until breathing becomes very relaxed.
For awhile I would suggest just doing that once or twice a day to get used to breathing and not thinking. It will pay off later and at the very least it's very relaxing so you might want to do it before bed and combined with lavender essential oils will make you sleep like a baby. One note : You will notice that it is quite hard to hold your lungs without air but I want you to do it so you can get over the panic that seems to happen when we breathe out and holding it.
Now when you feel comfortable doing this try to visualize anything you like when you are meditating. The trick here is to hold that thought the whole time. At anytime your mind wanders, yank it back to your thought you are trying to hold. This is way harder than it seems. Eventually you will be able to control your thoughts and become very focussed.
Lay down on something comfortable and blind fold or close your eyes as you see fit. Do the breathing exercise for at least 5 minutes then start anywhere in your body and try to relax each muscle for a few seconds and move to each and every part of your body doing that. If one seems rather stubborn then spend a little more time with that one till you are totally relaxed.
This is a great excercise before bed as you will go to sleep very quickly and deeply. This is a two-fold excercise because you are relaxing your physical body and like all meditations, taking your mind off your daily trivial pursuits which relaxed the mind to have peacefull sleeps and hightened conciousness.
