On Feb 10, 1956, Wilbert Coffin, a Gaspe
Quebec mining prospector, was executed at the Bordeaux Jail in
Montreal for the murder of an American hunter. At the time,
and still today, many believed that Coffin was innocent and
had been convicted and executed without a fair trial. The case
is legend in the annals of Canadian justice and is presently
being reviewed by The Ministry of Justice and
The Association For
the Defense of The Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC )
