POPULAR BUILDINGS IN LEONIDION

PIRGOS TSAKALIOTI

This Structure is the fourth oldest building in all of the Peloponnese. It was made during the period of the Ottoman Empire. Now it is being made into a museum, yet due to lack of funding the project has been put on hold. Inside this building lies beautiful woodwork and a huge fireplace. This building was generally used as a living dwelling.

LEONIDION - H AGORA - TOWN CENTER

This is the main street of Leonidion, taking you through the central part of town. This is the economic center of Leonidion, where you can find most stores, the OTE, Post Office, cafes, and City Hall. Old houses also line the streets, adding a classic character. You can also see the picturesque red mountain hovering above the town in the background.

This is Leonidion's City Hall, located in the center of the town. The mayor's name is Dimitrios Tsigkounis, who does an excellent job in maintaining and promoting Leonidion and it's surrounding areas.
