| The
Legionnaires have used the following vehicles or
devices for interplanetary missions. Click below

| Legion
Cruiser (Mark IV):
The fastest, most powerful ships in the galaxy,
these four cruisers were given to the Legion of
Super-Heroes in 2967 as a housewarming gift when
they were in the process of constructing their
new Headquarters (AD 367). These horizontally
landing cruisers are smaller and more compact
vessels with three fins and one large cylindrical
rear engine. |
 |
| The
quality of these new, mostly untried, vessels is
questionable. Within a month one was sent to the
spaceport for minor repairs (AD 368). |

| Legion Cruiser (Mark
III): Used by the Legion
during their 5th term year (2966-67). Similar to
the Mark I, these four vertically landing ships
were taller and sleeker, with a ladder leading up
the side to a main hatchway located one-third up
the length. Propelled by four rocket engines,
smaller and sleeker than the Mark I's, at the
time, this cruiser was the faster ship in the
galaxy (AD 366). Legion spacecraft have A-1
priority in any spaceport in the galaxy (AD 359).
The craft has two deck levels (see
cross-sectional picture) and has a pilot and
co-pilot seating in the cockpit (see picture
below). |
 |
| Legion Cruiser (Mark
II): Used briefly in 2966
(AD 343), this horizontally landing ship featured
one large, cylindrical stern engine encircled by
18 smaller directional thrusters, and two landing
control thrusters under the bow. The ship
suffered from two severe design flaws - the
cockpit radio controls were located directly
behind the emergency dive lever and the hull was
dangerously susceptible to strain and cracking.
Both ships were destroyed due to these flaws
while on missions. |
 |
| Legion Cruiser (Mark
I): Used from 2962 to
2965, this vertically landing ship was similar to
the later Mark III, but stockier. The four
engines were two-thirds the length of the vessel
and the main hatchway was located at the base of
the main hull, which was diagonally striped. |
 |
 |
Like the Mark III, the
cockpit featured pilot and co-pilot seating and
controls. The Legion owned two of these cruisers. |

Space-Flier:
The Legion of Super-Heroes has
used a number of smaller horizontally landing spacecraft
- called space-fliers, space-mobiles, or space-speedsters
- for one- or two-man missions (AD 305, AD 318, etc).

Space-Bike: In
2963, Brainiac 5 devised these one-man rockets, improving
upon the ones used by Roxxas and his space-pirates.
Spacesuits must be worn while riding these small craft,
which are faster than the Legion Cruiser Mark I, though
of significantly less range (AD 307).

Ultra-Flight Pack: A
spacesuit must be worn in conjunction with this personal
harness device, which is capable of providing warp-speed
travel for the wearer. This rectangular device is used
for interstellar travel (AD 372).

Anti-Gravity
Space Suit: In
order to solo-travel through interplanetary space within
a solar system, the Legion employ spacesuits with
built-in anti-gravity power-units. It should be noted
that the green-colored suits had stronger power-units
than the orange suits (AD 304).

Warp Ship: A
small, one-man, experimental star-ship that can cross the
galaxy faster than any space-vessel known to man. Ferro
Lad was the first person to test this prototype craft in
2966 (AD 352).
