Reason for Rejection: Red Kryptonite transformed Supergirl into an adult Superwoman making her ineligible for membership (AC 267). Fortunately the effects soon wore off and Supergirl was tested and excepted at a later date (AC 276).

Reason for Rejection: Violet competed against Supergirl, during the Maid of Might's second try-out for membership, and lost (AC 276). She was accepted into the Legion at a later date.

Reason for Rejection: He used a hidden weather-control device and so did not meet at least two of the three eligibility requirements for membership (AD 301).

ANTENNAE BOY (of Grxyor)

Power: Tuning in on radio signals from the past, present and future.

Reason for Rejection: He displayed a lack of control over his power, which produced a noisy racket, and seemed to tune into alternate realities, as exemplified by the "Kennedy re-elected President of U.S." signal (AD 305).

DYNAMO KID

Power: Projecting lightning

Reason for Rejection: He was actually a reporter for the Daily Planet Microfilm Newspaper, who tried to infiltrate the Legion using a device in order to write an expose on the Super-Hero Club. AD 305

POLAR BOY

Power: Super-cold creation

Reason for Rejection: His power was considered a possible hinderance to team perfomrnace. A short time later he formed the Legion of Substitute Heroes (AD 306).

NIGHT GIRL

Power: Super-strength in darkness

Reason for Rejection: Her power weakens in daylight. She later became a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes (AD 306).

CHLOROPHYLL KID

Power: Growing plants super-big & fast

Reason for Rejection: His power was deemed impractical. He later became a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes (AD 306).

FIRE LAD

Power: Breathing fire

Reason for Rejection: His power was considered too dangerous. He later became a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes (AD 306).

STONE BOY

Power: Turning into stone

Reason for Rejection: His power was considered too static to accomplish anything positive. He later became a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes (AD 306). Later, after winning a contest, he was awarded Legion membership, which he refused so he could stay with his friends in the Subs (AD 306, AD 315).

GREEN BOY

Power: Turning objects green

Reason for Rejection: Not useful enough, not even for camoflage, since foliage on other worlds is often colors other than green (AD 307).

CAMERA EYE

Power: Projecting events he's seen through his eye

Reason for Rejection: Not useful , since such evidence would not be admissible in a court of law (AD 307).

RAINBOW GIRL

Power: Has the power to split into four separate forms, each a different color and with a different power. Red form is super-heat; blue is super-cold; yellow is super brightness; and green is Kryptonite rays (AD 340 Bits of Legionnaire Business).

Reason for Rejection: Her Kryptonite form was a possible hazard to Superboy and Supergirl (AD 309).

JUNGLE KING

Power: Controling beasts

Reason for Rejection: Displayed a lack of control over the animals. Ironically, he later turned criminal and was killed by one of the beasts he had rejected from his "Legion of Super-Monsters" (AD 309).

RONN KAR (of Neptune)

Power: Flattening his body to paper-thinness

Reason for Rejection: Deemed impractical. Later he joined Tarik the Mute's school for super-villains (AD 314, AD 372).

ALAKTOR

Power: Marvel belt

Reason for Rejection: Relied on a device. Later, it turned out that he was a villain posing as an applicant so he could x-ray photograph security measures in order to steal a time-bubble and recruit Hitler, Nero and Dillinger from the past and place their twisted personalities into Superboy, Mon-El and Ultra Boy's brains (AD 314).

RANN ANTAR

RADIATION ROY

Power: Emiting paralyzing radiation

Reason for Rejection: Displayed a lack of control, making him a hazard. Later he proved to have an unstable mind and joined Tarik the Mute's school for super-villains (AD 320, AD 372).
