| FUTURE
HEADQUARTERS (2984) |
| By
Christmas of 2972, the Legion was briefly
headquartered in a replica of their
clubhouse (AC 289). Because this building
was on the same site as the original, one
must assume that their second
headquarters was destroyed in some way. So
the Legion erected a third complex,
vastly larger in area. The sprawling
grounds cover an entire mega-city block,
with separate buildings for many
facilities that once only needed a room
or floor to contain. Both the Legion and
the Teen Auxiliary are housed at this
site.

Main
Building
The main building is the general
hub of all Legion activities and houses:
|
|
Communications
Room
From this room, the Legion can
contact any point in the galaxy and tune in on
specific members - whether active, reserve or
retired. There is also a space-scanner screen and
an Emergency Monitor. The Photon Inverter allows
members to travel the universe as
Quanta-Entities, non-solid figures that they can
speak, hear and see through (AD 354).
|
|
Equipment Room
The Legion's many scientific
devices are kept in this Radiation Free Storage
room (AD 354).
|
|
Front Entrance
The corridor is deceptively open
- lined with computerized ray-guards that bounce
back any persons they aren't programmed to accept
(AD 354).
|
|
Hyper-Tube
Station
Location: Hub Section
The
Legion owns its own hyper-speed rocket-car tubes
that can reach any point on the globe in less
than 15 minutes. The three tube-lines are
coordinated and monitored through the station
controls. It should also be noted here that the
Legion has its own submarine, stored at
Metropolis Harbor (AD 355).
|
|
Living
Quarters
Location: Midway up tower section
All members have their own
comfortable living quarters (AD 354).
|
|
Main
Meeting Room
Also referred to as the Ready
Room, the Legionnaires meet regularly around the
large rectangular table. There are many viewing
screens lining the walls for use in mission
briefings. There is also an Emergency Monitor
that alerts the team when it's needed (AD 354).
|
|
Medi-Center
The Legion has full
state-of-the-art facilities to assist in the
recovery of injuries received in the line of duty
(AD 354).
|
|
Records Room
Location: Hub section
Records on all members - past and
present - are kept here on file, as are records
on criminals. The file-computer projects its
image-readout on a wall-screen (AD 354).
|
|
Spaceport
& Hanger
Location: Roof
This landing platform has a
Cruiser access elevator to a hanger bay below
(see picture at top of page). There
is also a control tower to ensure safe take-offs
and landings (AD 354).
|
|
Ventilation
Control Room
The air inside the HQ is purified
in this room. It should be noted here that twin
elevator tubes (one "UP", one
"DOWN") provide fast and easy access to
all levels within the building (AD 354).

Commemorative
Gallery
This gallery contains huge
commemorative statues of the Legionnaires who
have died in action. In the background are
statues dedicated to regular members: Chemical King, Ferro Lad, Reflecto (name
inscription is missing here), Shadow Woman and Quantum Queen (only
base is shown here). The foreground statues are
probably dedicated to the Teen Auxiliary.
|
|
Hall of
Married Members
This hall contains life-size
statues of those Legionnaires who have married.
Of the seven couples shown in this picture, there
are three couples who are shadowed and not easily
identifiable.
|
|
Monument Park
Visitors are free to stroll
through the monuments of this quiet park and
leave their tributes at the statues dedicated to
those Legionnaires who have sacrificed their
lives for the good of the universe.
