Branch 257 Service Officer is Cde. Jim McEwan and can be
reached by phone at (250) 751-2775, (250) 802-1725 or by calling the Branch.
The Service Officer is appointed by the President on an annual basis.
The prime duties of the Service Officer are:

Provide emergency assistance to ex-service persons and/or their dependents
in need through the Branch Poppy Committee.

Provide counsel on matters pertaining to Veterans Affairs Canada.

Initiate and follow up when necessary on claims for ex-service persons
and/or their dependents to Veterans Affairs Canada through the Command
Service Officer.
