Our Lantzville Legion Is Proud to be a full volunteer Legion
Support the Lantzville Legion
Did you know that the local Lantzville Legion donates over $25,000 Gaming funds
and $40,000 Poppy funds to community groups. Some of these groups are the
Lantzville Pathfinders and Sparks, the Lantzville Boys and Girls Club, the
Lantzville Volunteer Fire Department, the Lantzville Log, Veteran and Cadet
groups, Sports teams, Lifeline, and both the Nanaimo Hospital and Vancouver
Island University Foundations. The list goes on and on. Chances are, you,
your
child, a relative, or a friend has benefited from Legion donations.
Unfortunately, the Legion, which is totally run by volunteers, cannot use
these funds for operating expenses, but you can help. For just $40 a year
you can join the Legion. A
military connection is no longer needed. Any Canadian, Commonwealth, or
Allied Country citizen at least 19 years old can join. As a member you can enjoy
our licensed lounge, pool table, shuffleboard, darts, meatdraws, dances with
local
bands, and some awesome meals. Other benefits include discounted rental of
our upstairs hall and discounts at BCAA, Carlson Wagonlit, Travel Lodge, Accent
and Sandman Inns, Speedy Auto Service, and more. So come out , join
us, and even better volunteer to help.
