This is a collection of postcards showing Birds' Paradise in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are what is known as "RealPhoto" postcards, and are hand tinted. (Somebody actually sat down with a paint brush and individually coloured each card by hand. You can see where some of the ink washed around the borders on a few of the cards.)

I am not entirely sure of the age, but believe them to date from the 1930's or 1940's. One of the birds appears to be a tropical Cardinal; many are Canaries; others appear to be Finches, and some sort of Softbill; there is even one Macaw.

Actual size is about 3 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches.
