The Heacock line has been extremely prolific ever since it arrived in North America, from England, some 300 hundred years ago. It has since spread thoughout Canada and the US and has been involved in the shaping of both great nations.

The Heacock name has gone through many transitions over the years including:
HEYCOKE, HAICOCK, HEYCOCK, HAYCOCK, HAYCOCKE, HEACOCK and HEACOCKE.
