Larry is a remarkable Gardener and a Master of Bonsai, deeply influenced by the simplicity of nature. 
His reputation as a potter and a gardener has grown to award winning status in both areas.

Delicate brushwork and glaze techniques evoke an eastern flavour. Fine porcelain, functional stoneware, vibrant Raku,
Pit fired art pieces and lamps are created by this alchemist from mud to magic.

He works at his self-titled Pottery Studio and Gallery in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Larry has spent his early years fishing from piers with his younger brother,
and later mining in the deserts. 
After 4 years in the US Navy and several years being a hairdresser he moved in 1974 from the hectic pace of California to the wilds of
Qualicum Beach, BC Canada.

Larry has been a potter for over 30 years in Qualicum Beach, and Dee has been making  pottery for 18 years and joined  
Larry in the studio over 10 years ago.
Together they have been working as a husband and wife team creating great works.

She not only brings her skills as a potter but as a computer software tech and her no-nonsense organizational skills 
are a great asset to the studio 
along with being a fabulous cook,  Dee more than makes up for her daily vertical challenges.

Their work has been collected by many discerning patrons from around the world. 
You can find them in their workshop most times filling orders or preparing for the next show.
