Bold painting of an eagle that is just starting to spread his wings and fly. Wild and free, the eagles are fearless and beautiful predators. I see them all the time flying above my house (the neighbourhood I live in is called Eagle Harbour for that reason). I took a few photos of eagles at a raptors show a few years ago and felt the need to paint one now - I think it was in fact the "idea" of the eagle that wanted to be painted.

I created the painting using multiple layers of high-quality acrylic paints. The colors are bright and vibrant and there are many different hues of pure colors, including cool and warm shades of red, orange and yellow, pink and magenta, blue, green and other colors that give the painting a lot of depth and a vibrancy that a photo cannot fully capture. The painting's colors shift with the color and intensity of the light that illuminates the painting and different illumination (daylight, evening light, spotlight) will emphasize different shades and types of colors in the painting.
