" Dream -  to recollect, to rearrange, to interpret.  Passages - through this life and all its experiences
that etch and mold us. It is important to me as an artist to be able to paint feelings - to touch a person's
heart to pull out a memory or a dream. Painting for me is a process of lyrical expression and
exploring the fluid interplay of dream and reality "
- Laila Campbell

Laila first presented this major solo retrospective "Dream Passages" in 2001
at the Penticton Art Gallery [ then Art Gallery of the South Okanagan].
