Here
we have documented the story of our two muscle cars, both restored
from wrecks.
At
left you will see links to thumbnails and the story of Denise's
1981 Camaro Z28 found in Kitscoty, Alberta in the summer of
1999. This car underwent a frame off restoration beginning in
April of 2005 and completed in August of 2006. Special features
include a 4 speed manual transmission and a 400HP 383 Stroker
engine.
At
right, Marc's 1981 Turbo Trans Am, purchased in June of 1990
and wrecked in October of 1993. It sat in storage until 1999
when a slow restoration project began, completed in August of
2004. Special features include a 5 color 1980 decal package
and a Turbo V6 engine with an Art Carr 2004R overdrive
transmission.
Both cars have been awarded the "Best in Class"
trophy in the 80-89 Conservative Hardtop category at the World of Wheels in Calgary (Trans Am in Feb 2005, Camaro in Feb 2007 when it beat out 6 other cars, including the Trans Am!). Both cars have also been featured in Canadian Classics magazine in March 2006 (Trans Am) & April 2007 (Camaro). |
