The Hapless Seniors Complex

Most of  Kookooboys first set of stories, before we parted ways, was regarding the apartment complex across the street from our houses.  This does have a bit of background that occurred some time before I moved in.  Apparently, when it was in the planning stages, two nine or ten story towers were to be built.  This was to be on what was empty space at the time.  The neighborhood was, in fact, a little annoyed with this idea and took the developers to task on this notion.  A compromise was reached and a four story complex was decided on.  Koo-Koo Boy did not get his way, I guess.  He's still fighting that fight some 20 years later.  He refers to it as 'The Prison' and the people who live there as 'Inmates'.  The manager is, of course, 'The Warden'. This is an upscale condominium seniors residence.  They maintain the grounds very well and, as far as I'm concerned, are very good neighbors. They also own a few houses along the block across from us in which they have palliative care for children with severe problems.  Kookooboy refers to them as 'Zoo Cases'.  Endearing, isn't it.

The entrance for this center is directly across from my driveway.  One day, Koo-Koo Boy came over in a huff about the parking over there.  He spread a surveyors drawing of the area on my side patio and pointed to a section of the entrance marked 'Access'.  My God! A car was parked there.  This is a very wide entrance and the car posed no problem.  In fact, it was Swear Boy (See How 'Koo-Koo Boy' was Coined) just parking beside his door unloading groceries.  He didn't usually park there.  I don't know if Koo-Koo Boy phoned the parking police or not, but I'm sure he did.

On numerous occasions in the past, I have seen Kookooboy corner the manager of this complex as he was leaving for the day.  A half hour plus conversation would ensue which involved a lot of arm waving from Koo-Koo Boy with his long, greasy hair and beard blowing in the wind.  I'm not sure what all the issues he had with them were, but he seems to have left them alone for the most part, lately.  Especially since he has decided to aim his silly vindications at me. I suspect they may have resorted to legal action to get him to leave them alone.  I may do the same someday.
