• Baseline studies and environmental assessment of mineral developments in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and British Columbia
• Aerial surveys for moose, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, barren-ground caribou, and muskoxen, often using real-time GPS-GIS interface technology
• Assessment of habitat selection by a number of species throughout western and northern Canada, including bighorn sheep, moose, mountain goat, barren-ground caribou, deer, elk, grizzly bear, lynx, wolverine, and marten
• Movement, migration, and home range analysis of a variety of ungulate species
• Data collection and analysis of population dynamics of terrestrial vertebrates
• Assessment of aerial survey monitoring programs for northern caribou

 

Clients of Aurora Wildlife Research include federal, provincial, and territorial governments, First Nations, and the forestry, mining, and commercial recreation industries. Kim regularly collaborates and partners with other wildlife professionals.
