MILENKA

CESKY TERRIERS

Welcome to the Milenka Cesky Terrier site!

My name is Karsten Kaemling and it is my pleasure to share with you some information on this unique breed of Terrier.

My kennel is named appropriately enough after ‘Milenka’, a little Czech import female who immediately stole my heart the minute that I first set eyes on her.

The Cesky Terrier, who in January 2000 was officially recognized and added to the Terrier Group by the Canadian Kennel Club is still relatively rare in Canada.  He is well recognized in Europe and of course in the Czech Republic his country of origin, where he has enjoyed such celebrity status as being featured on postage stamps and even on the buses of Praha!

Just click on one of the following pictures to get further information on the Cesky Terrier, and then please feel free to drop me a line with any questions that you might have about the Cesky Terrier once you have completed your tour of the site.  Your questions, comments and enquiries are most welcome!

The Cesky Terrier is a natural and eager swimmer if introduced to water at an early age. My own Cesky Terriers will spend an entire afternoon chasing and fetching the tennis ball from the chuck at Ambelside Park. The Cesky Terrier is a sociable little breed of Terrier which gets along with other dogs, even in a strange environment quite well. That said, he can be a bit stand-offish of strangers, showing undying loyalty and devotion to his own family first.
