This section hopefully will remain pretty much empty. Since
this is an experimental aircraft and there is no requirement for
AD's or service bulletins, I think it would be helpful for everyone
to know if any problems occur. I know of a couple of accident's
that occurred in Australia but haven't got an official report
for those and havn't listed them yet. I think if you look at this
page you'll agree for a 33+ year old design that has been built
by people with various skill levels, and flown by student to airline
transport types, this is a remarkable safe design and a credit
to John Corby.

Synopsis
Ten minutes into a test flight at 1500 feet, the propeller spinner
came off and impacted one propeller blade. The engine was shut
down due to severe vibration and a forced landing carried out.
During the crosswind landing, the aircraft ran into some long
grass and lost an undercarriage leg.

THE PILOT WAS CONDUCTING THE FIRST FLIGHT IN THIS HOME BUILT AIRPLANE.
HE STATED THAT HE "PULLED BACK TOO FAR ON THE STICK, APPARENTLY
STALLING THE RIGHT WING..." ON THE INITIAL TAKEOFF. THE AIRPLANE
CONTACTED THE GROUND WITH THE RIGHT WING FIRST THEN CARTWHEELED.
Probable Cause
THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND'S IMPROPER USE OF THE ELEVATOR AND HIS LACK
OF FAMILIARITY WITH THE AIRCRAFT.
