PLEASE NOTE:
We expect to discontinue the Quilter's Neighbourhood website after the completion of our current series. If you are currently working on one of the other Bible block series, please download any blocks you may have remaining.
The books will still be available until sold out, and we do anticipate having Shepherd's Light and Sampler of Psalms available as PDFs for download in the coming months. Stop by in a few weeks for more information, or join our Bible block announcement only group to receive notices when we update our pages or Quilter's Neighbourhood community to discuss the Bible blocks with other quilters.

That's how our English Bible begins, and that's where we return again to present a precious series of Bible based quilt blocks
In the beginning...GOD!
That's the first place to start: wherever these patterns go; whoever chooses to use them, we pray that message comes through clearly. Everything starts with God, and with His Word. God gives us our purpose, our inspiration. We believe something wonderful will happen as you read and ponder His Word as you make something pretty with our patterns.
God CREATED!
The very first thing we learn about our awesome God is that He is creative. [The word created actually means to make something from nothing.] Before this first chapter ends, we're told mankind is made in God's image. Surely that means that we are created to be creative too. How wonderful! Made in the image of a God who sees creation and says "that's good!" We can't make something from nothing, but we can share the joy of taking thread, fabric, and time to make something that makes us think "that's good!" And, each time you hold up your completed block, ignore the little flaws, slightly off-kilter points, and rejoice in your creation, knowing that your Creator God feels that same joy when he considers YOU!
ABOUT THIS SERIES
We'll be revisiting the Genesis to Job series with new and revised patterns and a fresh look at the Scripture messages ; We're planning to present at least one block each month: some months we hope to present a bonus block We expect this series to run for about 18 months; Blocks will be available in 6" and 12" sizes with simplified instructions for beginners where appropriate;- We will not be giving you fabric requirements: so much depends on how you choose your fabrics, whether you make the larger or smaller blocks, and how many blocks you choose to complete. Those making the 12" size blocks may find there are more blocks than they need for one quilt: think about co-ordinating pillows or a wall-hanging;
- We suggest you begin with a "drop-dead-gorgeous" focus fabric [We purchase at least 4 metres for a queen sized sampler and 2 metres for a lap quilt] and choose all your other fabrics to coordinate. Don't forget at least one "zinger." Your best bet might be to pick one focus and then purchase fat quarters or pull fabrics from stash to coordinate.
