Technologies & Theory

User Interface Design (GUI) 3+ years experince in GUI development. Several of my early projects with Shopping Sherlock allowed me to develop the GUI interface directly, but also gave several opporunities meet with users and clients directly and learn from them. I have vast experience in design, and development of all the user interfaces of the projects I have been involved in. Object - Oriented paradigm 2+ years experience in Object Oriented programing. Depending on the complicated nature of each project OO programming has come into play. I have had direct experience in OO development in Java, PHP and JavaScript. Server administration 3+ years experience in basic server administration. In both SPC and Shopping Sherlock I took on several roles and worked in setting up networks, development and testing environments, along with supplying support to non-technical departments. Database design 3+ years in database design. Being involved in most projects from their creation, I have had input and designed several of the databases used in the projects. I have learned use of several connectors (ODBC,JDBC,DBI-DBD) and use have used stored procedures in several of my designs.

Technologies & Theory

Model View Controller 1 & 2 architecture 1+ years in experience with setting up these architectures. Credit card handling (cybercash) 1+ years experience with developing credit card handling systems The creation of the www.eyicom.com web site and both of Shopping Sherlocks online malls, several credit card handling systems had to be developed. I was involved from figuring out security issues, developing code, setting up merchant accounts, working with CyberCash (the credit card handler) to manage these accounts. Computational vision, Image Processing, Animation In school I found an interest with Computational vision, Image Processing and Animation. Even though the algorithms, theories and development don't directly pertain to most web develop, it has left with a different way of finding solutions that I would not have had if I did not take advantage of these course offerings. I feel they added a extra dimension to my coding. Wild Tangent By working with FirstWeb Inc. on a wild tangent prototype for a gaming site, I expeosed myself to this new technology. I built the controls and interfaces with the HTML and JavaScript of the web site.
