Software Productivity Center Achievements

Simplified the procedure and process of the SPC web site. Used software engineering principles to control manage, plan, define and develop the web site. Result: Turned a full time senior position to a part time jr. position with minimal (1 day a week) supervision. Saving approximately $1700 a month in salary. Defined and specified updated versions of eSETweb. Consulted with customers to recognize new requirements and assessed the current version to come up with several customizable upgrades. Results: Completed 3 short term projects (1 to 3 month each). Version 2.1 won Jolt Productivity award in 2001. Strengthened Customer Relationships with developing a customized version of eSETweb while working with CIBER Inc. Prototyped an example and managed the development of a customized version. Result: Gained endorsements from CIBER and additional product sales. Simplified and implemented a JSP interface for concurrent development with 3rd party developers in Project Link. While developing the UI level in Vancouver and the platform in India, I created a code in Java JSP and Java Script to create UI layers, servlets, objects and data definitions while working with India. Results: SPC was able to save money and have full control of the User Interface design of the project while concurrently developing the back end in India and Vancouver.

Software Productivity Achievements

Managed the development of the SPC web site. Hosted Control management meetings weekly to decide on new projects to undertake, assigned bug fixes and specified new ideas for junior staff members. Results: Kept track of ideas for the web site while producing several improvements and changes like a search engine, auto-responder, and user tools like ROI calculators and company diagnostics. Identified problems with the previous version of the SPC web site and implements solutions to them. Preformed an architectural and code review of the original SPC web site. Results: Documented the site architecture, simplified the code base and improved the database. Lead marketing and sales in specifying an auto-responder. Took a desired project for both departments and organized meetings to create a possible and definable auto-responder for SPC. Results: A fully specified auto-responder specification which allowed greater filtering and communications with customers. Reviewed new ideas and identified options. When new ideas are in the early stage for SPC web site, I was given the first review to point out potential problems, variable options, and things that need to be decided upon in the early stage of definition. Result: Web site ideas were clarified and streamlined producing a more efficient web development environment.
