Added: Andre Auger was born in Maniwaki, Quebec in the Township of Wright, not far from Egan. His birthdate has been confirmed as December 1890. As a result, the above census information is very likely he and his siblings in their foster home.
Noted events in his life were:
• Adoption. Auger may not have been his birth name. It is suspected that it was his foster name. He came from a very large and poor family. The children were sent out to live with many local families near the Quebec / Ontario border.
• Employment: May have worked for the Eddy Match Company.
Andre married Marie Blanche FOURNIER, daughter of Francois Xavier FOURNIER and Jophine VINCENT DIT MAHER. (Marie Blanche FOURNIER was born in 1902 in Victoriaville, , Québec, Canada, died in 1984 in Ponteix, , Saskatchewan, Canada and was buried in Ponteix, , Saskatchewan, Canada.)
