In 1980, I purchased my first Doberman, a red male, followed shortly thereafter by a black rescue female. If you have had the good fortune to be owned by a Doberman, you never look back. I fell in love with the breed, and have never wanted any other since.
I moved to Red Deer in 1989, after losing my last dog. For a number of years after that, thoughts of Dobermans were put on hold, while focusing my time on my family. As the children grew older, so did my determination to be owned by another Doberman, and also to become involved with the show world. Along the way, I made many friends, found several mentors, learned every day (in every way), and discovered that there is no end to the learning curve, or the amount of help you can offer. The dogs have filled my life and heart, emptied my purse, and have given me a new perspective. I hope that my future endeavors will be every bit as exciting and fulfilling!
The goal of my breeding program is to breed quality show and companion puppies, having excellent health and temperament. All Torkelle puppies are born, raised and socialized in our family environment.
My family and I are located in Red Deer,
Alberta, Canada.
