Welcome to Kayaust Kennels! We have owned Australian Terriers since 1975 and have been breeding and showing these grand little dogs in the years since. We currently share our home with 5 Aussies (see family showcase), 2 cats, and 2 children. We plan to continue breeding sound, well-adjusted puppies for many years to come. History It is believed the Australian Terrier was first developed in about 1820 using several other Terrier breeds. The Australian Terrier was bred to control varmints and they were tough enough to tolerate the hot summers and wet cold winters. 
They are also a great watchdog and family companion. They love children and are not known to be either yappy nor snappy. The are easy keepers that seem to be able to adjust to nearly any situation. |
