Rebirth

Her worlds collided with an explosive crash
Shuddering, she still stood
Watching the pieces from each
Shatter and blow and dance
Some pieces melded - some became dust

Anger - exultation - fear - peace
All whirled within
While without, reality bent and twisted
Into something new

In acceptance she stood still
While the thundering grew quiet and
The dust became earth
Like a golden icon once encased in
Sharp sharded rock
She waited - head bowed - hands opened - ready to receive

And when she finally spoke
Her real voice emerged
With love and wisdom and faith

Now, she is the seer.
