subject Great signal into Minnesota

Hello Karol,

I have just recently purchased an HF radio and installed a G5RV antenna.  As I’ve been scanning the bands, I came across your very powerful broadcast on 14.275 a few weeks ago.  

At first I just listened assuming you were having a normal QSO — but as I continued to listen, I was absolutely amazed and shocked at the QRM that was happening.  Someone kept keying (very poor Morse code), another just transmitted a carrier and a third person was yelling in a ‘little girl voice’ some website that they wanted the listeners to visit.  Although I’ve only been on HF for a couple of months (I’ve been licensed for 23 years), I was quite disillusioned that other ham operators would so maliciously QRM your signal.  

There was nothing within your conversation that would be remotely offending — as a matter of fact, your deportment during this entire incident was much better than I would have been able to muster.  

Obviously, this has been going on for quite some time and I am extremely disheartened that a few members of the amateur radio community would be so thoughtless.  Anyhow, people do desperate things because they themselves are desperate people.  

Keep up the good fight and know that your signal is booming in quite nicely to Minnesota.  Perhaps we may have a chance for a QSO sometime in the future.
