Well, I guess I'm off to home depot to get some copper tubing to build a 20m resonant loop antenna....

If I really get pissed at these guys, I'm going to set up a separate station at my sister's house in North Carolina (she has 6 acres and won't notice).... Then, I'll have two stations, one west and south of the misfits, the other one east.

I visited the misfits’ web site.… They really seem to be upset with anybody spouting anti-American viewpoints.  I am rather ashamed of this kind of childish behavior.  Defending free speech for viewpoints that agree with you is meaningless.  Real free speech means defending the right of other people to express viewpoints that are in violent opposition to your own. 

You may think that I am crazy, but I am going to challenge these guys, starting with K3VR, to answer as to why you shouldn't have the freedom to espouse your views, whatever they are.

Most Americans don't know that 99% of the rest of the world's population hates them, mostly because they are rude, callous, monolingual, and want to eat at McDonald's most of the time.  It seems to me that K3VR and his buddies fit that stereotype perfectly.  They are upset because someone with a differing viewpoint, and a strongly anti-American one (milder than my relatives in Quebec, by the way), is expressing that viewpoint on the amateur bands. 

Where I come from (Shawinigan -- Home of Jean Chretien), we refer to Americans as "Les Bullshitters".... Primarily because they always talk a lot, and never have any money to back the talk up with.… Most of the time, we ignore them.  

I'm in the states because my parents moved down here when I was 14..., I like the weather, but I can't stand the hypocrisy and corruption in the current administration.  I'm staying down here because of the lower taxes and the weather.  Mostly the weather.…

Anyway, I plan on reminding the misfits that:

· "I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to my death your right to say it" -- Patrick Henry

I think it's time to educate the misfits on what it really means to be an American....
