Kappa's Paralympic tandem team, Lisa Sweeney and Shawn Marsolais, declared their Paralympic experience a huge success after they finished seventh in their last event, the individual road time trial, on September 27, putting them seventh in the omnium. They missed sixth overall by only a few painful seconds. They had a strong performance in the road race as well on September 25, when they finished sixth.
Sweeney was happy with their effort: "We gave everything we had." Their results at the Paralympic Games in Athens are even more impressive, considering Marsolais and Sweeney have only been working together for around a year.
After attending the closing ceremonies yesterday, Marsolais and Sweeney go their separate ways for some well-deserved R&R. Congratulations Shawn and Lisa!
