minneapolis 2001

Hi. I'm Kelly. Once again, I'm writing about my travel adventures. This is about my boyfriend Taz's and mine trip to Minnesota for the Area:One concert from July 26-29, 2001. I've been to Minnesota quite a few times in my life. But none were like this whirlwind trip.

This is Taz. Well, an accurate representation of him. I have...3 or 4 photos of Taz's mouth. I don't know if it's poor picture taking or just Taz loving to open his mouth.

This is Jayson. He was our host while we stayed in Minneapolis. I've known him for 4 years, and have visited him once before. I did not stay with him last time though, and instead at a crummy hotel near the U of Mn Campus. It was also in February, when things are not pretty in the Twin Cities. He works at Pillsbury and constantly brings home new treats.

Hoor is one of Jayson's roommates. He is originally from Chicago. He works for Governor Jesse Ventura! I wish I had gotten a picture of the stacks of reading he has to do. It's up to my thigh, and he has to do research and reading on it all. He was up at 6am EVERY MORNING to do it. Dedication. (He's pretty cute, too)

Paul is another roommate of Jayson's. There are 5 guys (Jayson, Hoor, Paul, Eric and Dana) that live in Jayson's place, and they are all great guys and awesome people to have show you around the city. Paul is funny because he has a real Midwestern accent. Which is "ahhhsome". He has a girlfriend named Anne, and she was pretty cool the one night we hung out with them.

Ah, classy beer. We'll miss you so. Liquor was a main staple during our stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well, for most of us. I petered out after our first night out. Yankees party HARD. This is Jayson's favorite slummin' beer, Miller High Life. I missed my Kokanee. They did have Mike's Hard Lemonade and Smirnoff Ice though, surprisingly.

Without the Area:One concert, we would have had no reason to go and infringe on the aforementioned guys' lives. So thanks Moby and Area:One performers.

Enough about that. ONTO THE STORY!
