Recipient of 2nd place 2000 Kiwanis Arts award and 2002 Flamenco de la Isla Society dance scholarship. I would love to study some more in Spain after my amazing experience in Cadiz, Jerez, and Seville during the Festival de Jerez 2000.

How I Started:
There was something so captivating and mysterious about this flamenco show in Victoria, that even at the age of seven I knew right then and there that I had to learn about this art form. Three years later I finally got the opportunity to take lessons from the performer, the talented teacher Veronica Maguire, and I was hooked.

I believe that flamenco can be a life-long pursuit and I have a passion to learn and share my knowledge with others. I enjoy playing the castanets, dancing with the bata de cola, and using fans and shawls in dance but I also feel that the dance can be just as powerful without all these elements. As well, I occasionally play the cajon and am dabbling in guitar.
