Welcome to the web site of Dr. Josef Zaide, a registered psychologist practicing in central Vancouver, British Columbia, serving the Lower Mainland and regions throughout B.C..

For 30 years he has worked with children, teens and adults in independent practice, hospital, and school settings.

Working solely in private practice now, his focus is on psychotherapy and counselling in youth, adults and couples who bring a wide range of concerns and aspirations. (See sidebar.)

He also performs assessments across the age range related to questions about learning, social-behavioural and neuro-psychological functioning more generally.

Regardless of the context of his work, whether therapy or assessment-related, he strives to work in an integrated way, to be present with kindness and with the whole person, with his or her unique blend of strengths and weaknesses. Troublesome patterns of thinking and feeling, or difficulties in specific skills are addressed as clients strengthen their connections with their own resources, values and goals.
