Taking Storage of Homeopathic Remedies

It is advisable to keep homeopathic products away from strong odors such as strong essential oils. Campherous substances are especially to be avoided. Cough, colds and flu medications, and ointments with Eucalyptus, Menthol or Tea Tree oil may sometimes interfere with the homeopathic approach. Coffee, black tea and even some herbal remedies, such as Chamomilla or Mint, might prove to be problematic in some individual cases. It has been found that these substances and especially Mint, interfere with the response to the homeopathic remedy.

Storing Homeopathic Remedies

Homeopathic remedies are best stored in places free of odors, radiations, and chemicals. Places like the spice rack in the kitchen, the bathroom shelves with soaps and perfumes, or close to microwaves and TV are best avoided.

Generally, just as some substances could interfere with the response to taking a remedy, these substances can also make a remedy ineffective during storage.

Your remedies are best kept in a neutral place.

How To Take Homeopathic Remedies

Most forms of homeopathic remedies are generally taken directly under the tongue.

Powders, pellets, globules will dissolve within a minute or two.

Liquids can be taken straight from the dropper bottle or need to be further diluted in distilled/filtered water, according to the recommendations for the individual situation.

Avoid giving the larger pellets and globules to infants and young children. Rather use the remedy dissolved in filtered water and give by the teaspoon.

When carefully unfolding the paper envelope with the remedy, or taking the remedies from the container with lids, avoid touching the remedy or putting it into your hand.

It is important not to eat or drink or brush your teeth 30 minutes before and after taking a homeopathic remedy. (unless in an acute situation) This again is to make sure that no other substances in the mouth could interfere with the remedy.
