You've reached the homepage of the Juan de Fuca Masters Football Club. We are an "Over40's, Over48's, Over50's and Over60's" Mens Football (soccer) Club. Our club is affiliated with and is a member of the South Vancouver Island Classics' Soccer Association (SVICSA). Their web site can be found by clicking the link  .
OUR TOURNAMENT
Is The BEST Men's Over40's, Over48's, Over55's, and "Open Mixed" Divisions soccer tournament. Our tournament is located on Vancouver Island, which is held in beautiful Victoria, BC, Canada. Our tournament contains teams from Vancouver Island, the Pacific Northwest, the BC Interior, other Provinces, and from our neighbours to the south, the United States which sends teams from Washington, Oregon and as far as Southern California.

FIELDS WE PLAY ON
Click here to see three beautiful side by side grassed soccer pitches that our tournament teams get to play on. Our club in the summer of 2010, started to use two turf fields. Both are located within the City of Langford, in an area known to the locals as Eageles Ridge. On turf field named "Bear Mt"to is home to the Highlands Soccer Club (playing in the Pacific Coast League), while the other turf field is call "John Goudy". We play extensivley on the Goudly Turf during our regualar league season (September to April), then continue to play on this field during our summer maonths (April to September)

GYM SCHEDULE AT JOHN STUBB'S SCHOOL (in Belmont Park)
"They are all on Monday night for a duration of 1.5hrs." Time is 8:00pm - 9:30pm. Once again the Legion will be sponsoring our Gym time again this year, so be sure to stop in for a beer at the Legion after and help support our sponsor.
Bring both a dark and light shirt (NOT grey / yellow / pink / purple / green / etc.). Open to all club members, friends, soccer buds, or whom ever!
THOSE THAT ARE "CLUB OR ASSOCIATE MEMBERS" WILL BE FREE (they have paid through their annual dues). ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS "MAY" BE REQUIRED TO PAY A SMALL FEE (IE:"$5.00" PER MONDAY NIGHT (due to the increase in rental rates).

LANGFORD LEGION MEAT DRAW:
Our club does the Langford Legion Meat Draw, which takes place every Saturday from the first draws starting at 2:30 and the final draws are at 4:00pm. Our club creates the ticket packets, sells individual tickets and goes around selling 50/50 tickets (of which the club receives 50% of the intake). Ray Laursen is the one looking after this for our club, so he will be contacting everyone with an expectation that each one will take their turn doing the meat draw. He will need six (6) people at each draw. Ray can be contacted by phone at 250 474-2683 or by email at 'relaursen@shaw.ca'.

LANGFORD LEGION GENERAL MEETING:
The next General Meeting for the Langford Legion is January 6th, 2013 @ 2:00pm.
This meeting has been called to deal with the challenges, recommendations and directives from the BC Yukon Command Office. The branch was placed under temporary probationary management many months ago and this organization has by-laws and policies that must be followed in order to retain our branch charger. This meeting is to address those articles.
It would be good to have at least a strong presence from our club. Please consider attending and pass this on to any other club member you know who are also a Legion member. If coming, wear something that contains our club logo on it, so we are recognized as supporters.

A N N U A L O A K B A Y T O U R N A M E N T !!
Howie has entered a Masters 50 team once again into this tournament. Our games will be played on only Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon (so check out the link on the left, under the dates). Cost to enter is $275.00, which the club will front the entry fee. Each player that wishes to play will reimburse the club their portion of the entry fee (which will be dependant on the totlal number of players on the team) and the amount the club will actual sponsor this team for.
This tournament is a 7 aside (including a goalie). Game schedule and times have been posted.
