For the Bed

Ideal for

Wedding Present

Anniversary Present

Something special for that someone special

Unless otherwise stated, all quilts are machine pieced and quilted.

"Wheel Within a Wheel" wheelin.gif (68064 bytes)34" diameter $115.00 (Cndn)

Thought I needed some practise for the "Challenge". I really like the colours in this one and the way it took exactly 22 of each wedge.

"Golden Rays" 34" diameter $115.00 (Cndn)

The golden rays fabric is hologram fabric.... gives a very nice "Spark" to the wallhanging as different colours reflect at different angles.

"Starry Snowflakes" 43X39 $130.00 (Cndn)

I always wanted to do these snowflakes out of an old

magazine and finally did it with some more "hologram" fabric. Lots of sparkle!

doublerings.gif (87237 bytes)

"Double Wedding Ring" 40x40 $110.00 (Cndn)

Done in Pink background with two different coloured rings. One set of rings in mostly blues and another set in mostly purple.    A good Wedding or Anniversary present.

maybasket.gif (79052 bytes)

"May Basket" 39x39  $110.00 (Canadian)

Two shades of blue with pink contrast colour. Perhaps for the more 'traditional' couple. Hand quilted.

cabintwist.gif (108911 bytes)

"Log Cabin Twist" 41x41 $175.00 (Cndn)

Lynn Graves in the magazine Traditional Quiltworks (issue 27) inspired this one. Paper pieced of entirely home-dyed fabrics. The colours go from yellow to green and from yellow to red. This one comes with sleeves on two sides so that you can give it a 90 degree turn when you get tired of looking at it from one angle.

nesw.gif (81707 bytes)"North, East, South, West. 29x29 $115.00 (Cndn) ( Original design )      This was a "Challenge" product. ‘’Flying Geese Block" was one of the rules. I had fun with the concept of the four rings running through each other. Rather than having "interlocking" rings I made it so that the two fabrics run together and form some kind of mixture of the two fabrics involved.

celticC.gif (51400 bytes)

"Celtic C’s"  41" long by 31" wide $150.00 (Cndn.)

The idea for this one actually came from a Norwegian sweater book. The back to back "C’s" are typical of the Telemark area. (also famous for starting the "Telemark Landing" in ski-jumping)

zulu.jpg (79643 bytes)Zulu Crowns 62"x25" Black and white (has a white binding edge not very visible) This design is copied from Deanna Johnson, albeit not exactly. Price $75.00 (Cndn)

scanrose.gif (72524 bytes)Scandinavian Rose 41x41" $175.00  (Cndn)  This pattern was adapted to quilting from a long-out-of print and forgotten book featuring Scandinavian Art.

Lillehammer.gif (86244 bytes) "Lillehammer" 27x27" $100.00  (Cndn) This was our "Challenge" for the year that the Winter Olympics were held in Lillehammer, ....... with all that sequin on the figure skaters costumes. You can see it better on the bigger version  (just click on the picture)

22min.gif (76636 bytes)

This Hour Has 22! 32" diameter. $100.00 (Cndn)

This was another "Challenge" , using millenium fabrics and following the "it had to be round rule". (There are 22 (X 2) wedges to give it it's name)

"Chrismassy" 34" diameter $110.00 (Cndn)

This one is quite green and red with some sparkling fabrics in it. Very Nice.

"Greenspokes" 34" diameter $110.00 (Cndn)(This one is the "opposite" of "Maroonspokes"

"Whitespokes" 34" diameter $110.00 (Cndn)

"Maroonspokes" 34" diameter $110.00 (Cndn)

"Paisley Wheel" 34" diameter $110.00 (Cndn)

How about something a little bigger?

twisturn.gif (137638 bytes)

"Twists & Turns" 66 by 50" $300.00 (Cndn)

This is another variation on Bargello. Eyeballed the pattern from a picture in a magazine. When a  colour string disappears behind another colour, I give it a twist so that the light and dark  of the string have switched places.

barge.gif (91751 bytes)"Monarch Peaks and Valleys"

50"X100"

This is now hanging in one of the hallways of our local hospital.

This is an example of Bargello gone mad! Couldn’t stop adding just one more row!

halebob.gif (70091 bytes)HaleBob 100x48" $300.00 (Cndn)

Another "Challenge" would you believe? Right about the time the famous Comet passed us by.

Lots of my gradated fabric for the "tails". The centre of the comets was the Challenge Fabric.
