Our 10th annual Fiddle Contest had 39 registrants and 6 more if you count twin fiddling. | ||||

This may be the last year we are able to use the Elks Hall as there are plans to tear this facility down and build a new one. The area planned for the "hall" portion of the new development will not be big enough to house our fiddle contest. | ||||

We were hoping for a great performance from our Home Town Hero and we were not disappointed as Peter Dawson thrilled fiddle fans with fiddle tunes both old and new. | ||||

Saturday was contest day and the participants were competing for $3700 in prizes in eight different categories.
Since this was the provincial championships the contestants in the six major categories had to be residents of BC for at least 3 months. | ||||

Keith Hunter of Hunter Studios was on hand to provide professional sound services for both the concert and the contest. This is the 10th year that Keith has done this for us. | ||||

Our vice-president Ken Smith gave a welcoming address to both the concert and the contests participants. | ||||

Vic Ukrainetz did the EmCee duty and kept things lively and moving for the whole weekend. | ||||
