CENTRAL VANCOUVER ISLAND

 

The community of Coombs is located 9 km west of Parksville. Coombs grew out of the Salvation Army's immigration program that brought nearly a quarter of a million poor English and Welsh to Canada. The handful of families that settled here took the name for their community from the Salvation Army's commissioner in Canada, Thomas Coombs

CENTRAL VANCOUVER ISLAND covers an area from Qualicum Beach to Duncan.

Meetings are held on the 1st Sunday of every month Sept. to June at the Rotary House in Qualicum Beach on the corner fo Beach and Fern. There is a dance every Thurs night at the hall from 8 - 10.00 and anyone who enjoys Old Time Music is welcome to join in the fun. New members are always welcom.

There is a dance every Thurs night at Rotary House in Qualicum Beach on the corner of Beach and Fern from 8 - 10.00

Music Jamboree to be held on September the 17th at the The Coombs Rodeo Grounds Registration begins at 12:00 Jamboree starts at 1:00. followed by a dance which begins at 7:30 PM
